We have recently added the Adolfoi Catfish (Corydoras adolfoi) to our livestock list. This news couldn't come at better time since it's been a while since we shared information on a bottom dwelling fish. In the wild, the Adolfoi catfish is collected from the Rio Negro in Brazil. Yet, our aquaculture specimen comes to us from Indonesia. This catfish is a good hardy bottom dwelling fish for any hobbyist. It is an peaceful fish that can live with other tank mates as long as they are of the same temperament. Also, it does well in aquariums decorated with wood pieces and in planted aquariums. To maintain them in optimal health provide them a varied diet of dry and frozen foods.
