Antler Staghorn Hermit Crab
The Antler Staghorn Hermit Crab is a truly unique addition to your clean up crew. These little guys will help keep your cyanobacteria and filamentous algae under control. They will also scavenge fish waste, other algae and detritus that has deposited on the live rock and substrate. Make sure to never add copper-based medications into an aquarium with invertebrates.
The Tesselata Eel is back in stock here at Quality Marine. Their natural diet includes smaller fish and invertebrates, so use caution when choosing tankmates. Keeping them well fed will help reduce their need to snack on tankmates. Make sure their home is large enough since they can grow to be 6 feet in length. They do best in aquariums with a great deal of hiding spaces, give them a few days to acclimate then watch them actively move around. They are nocturnal feeder and should be fed when the lights are off in the aquarium. Do not do this with your hands. Eel bites take a long time to heal, and hurt pretty bad.
The prized White Face Mesoleucos Butterfly is in stock right now! These can be kept in groups of fish, including other butterflies; because butterflies will frequently pick on other fish, we recommend adding them last to aquariums with lots of fish. They won’t do well with fish that are overly aggressive, but they will also nip and pick at fish that are very timid. Like most butterflies, we don’t recommend placing them in reef aquariums because they are very likely to consume a variety of coral polyps. These will benefit from multiple feedings a day of frozen meaty foods.
