Fire Golden Eel

Aquatropic just received the Fire Golden Eel for the first time! This freshwater eel is a very unique species that will bring a lot of attention to your aquarium. These eels have elongated bodies and are known for their serpentine movements. Provide ample hiding places, as this eel is secretive during the day and appreciate shelter. Freshwater eels are carnivorous and primarily feed on live Nutramar Artemia and Gamma frozen meaty foods. They are excellent escape artists, so ensure that the aquarium has a tightly fitted lid to prevent them from jumping out. Eels are known to burrow, so provide a soft substrate like sand to accommodate their natural behavior.
