Green Sea Urchin
The Green Sea Urchin, also commonly called the Variegated Sea Urchin is common throughout the Caribbean where they can be found most often in mangrove lagoons and sea grass beds. It is an omnivore and their rasping (and ever growing) teeth help it scrape algae off rocks, including some coralline algae! It is famous for its behavior of coating itself with bits of whatever is around it using its little suction cups as camouflage.
