Gymnothorax miliaris - Fire Coral
The Fire Coral Eel is an extremely vibrant colored eel that is also pretty rare in the industry, so it’s very exciting to have them here. They do best in aquariums with a great deal of hiding spaces, give them a few days to acclimate then watch them actively move around. Most will readily take to thawed silversides if you give a wiggle with some tongs. Do not do this with your hands. Eel bites take a long time to heal, and hurt pretty bad. They are nocturnal feeder and should be fed when the lights are off in the aquarium. These are escape artists, so keep a tight lid on the aquarium to prevent getting an eel on your carpet.
