The juvenile Bodianus busellatus can be seen scooting around reefs of the Central Pacific; Marshall Islands, Marquesas and Pitcairn Islands. There they feed on just about anything they can fit in their mouths. Hogfish from the genus Bodianus are known to grow fairly large of about 15 inches. This species is very rarely seen in the aquarium trade and there is not much information on how to properly care for them in aquariums. It would be best to follow the care recommendations for others from the genus Bodianus
