We have a another great cichlid from the Victoria Lake region that is bound to impress. The elusive Matumbi Hunter is considered to be a one of the more rare cichlids in the trade. Like most cichlids from this region, their temperament is moderately aggressive. Exercise caution when choosing tank mates and add this cichlid last to the aquarium because they are known to become territorial. Like most Lake Victoria fish, they like to dwell in rocks, so try to recreate a rocky environment in its new aquarium home. They can grow up to 5 inches, so make sure its aquarium is large enough and has plenty of swimming room.
