Nutramar announces the release of TMC Kreisel Aquariums
Quality Marine is proud to announce the arrival of a whole new line of
quality, compact, easy to use Kreisel Aquariums made by our partners at
Tropical Marine Centre (TMC). The TMC Kreisel 10 and Kreisel 15 are now all
available to all of our valued retail partners here. Kreisel aquariums are
specifically designed to allow the home aquarist to keep jellyfish displays,
though the technology is also frequently used to rear marine fish during their
difficult to manage, larval periods.
Both of these amazing new displays feature high quality construction, with filtration, LED lighting, multi-stage filtration and low draw direct current pumps all integrated into one seamless design. The lighting has been specifically designed to showcase jellyfish. Its gentle diffused light enhances the otherwise difficult to see species. The lighting can be color tuned with the touch sensor to appear warm white, cool white, light blue, blue, red, green, yellow, green and even a color changing mode!

5v DC pump delivers optimal flow for both tanks, producing a perfect laminar
flow that keeps both the jellies and their food in suspension, eliminating dead
spots where they could get stuck. It also feeds the built-in multi-stage
filtration system, featuring filter pads, fleece and very porous biological
media for the colonization of beneficial bacteria to maintain optimal water
quality for the jellyfish.
Suitable for a wide range of jellyfish, both units are ideal for species like Moon Jellies (Aurelia aurita), Violet Jellyfish (Mastigia sp.) and Spotted Jellyfish (Phyllorhiza punctata) among others. Currently, these jellyfish are being fed Nutramar Live Adult Artemia and Nutramar Tigrio Copepods in house. The primary difference in the units is that the Kreisel 10 is a 2.6-gallon display that features a four-watt LED while the Kreisel 15 is a four-gallon display that utilizes six watts of LED illumination. Obviously, the diminutive size of both these units makes them ideal for small spaces like desktops, nooks and counter tops throughout the home.
