Oreni Tilefish - Hoplolatilus oreni

The holy grail of fish just landed at Quality Marine…the Oreni Tilefish! Tilefish are brilliantly colored with an active disposition and the inclination to do housework. That is, they create burrows or mounds, to which they retreat when threatened. Tilefish are often categorized as gobies, which is not surprising considering their size and elongated bodies. However, tilefish are not closely related to gobies rather, tilefish belong to the family Malacanthidae.
