Red Fin Obliquidens Cichlid (Haplochromis sp.)

The ever attractive Red Fin Obliquidens is one of the most colorful cichilds from Lake Victoria that you can find on our stock list. They are quite popular not just for their bright colors but also for their hardiness. Like most cichlids of this region, they are aggressive in temperament , so exercise caution when choosing tank mates. In the wild, they are found in schools with a dominant male, so we recommend adding two to four females to every male. They are known to spawn frequently, which can result in having more than originally intended. For optimal health, feed them a variety of dry foods designed for cichlids and frozen meaty foods like bloodworms.
