However, if placed low in the aquarium Actinodiscus Mushroom Corals can thrive in aquariums with higher lighting. Generally found near shallow lagoons and tidepools in nutrient rich areas. Actinodiscus Mushroom Corals receive the majority of their nutrients from photosynthesis, however additional feedings of planktonic foods will benefit their health. . Actinodiscus Mushroom Corals are great for beginner hobbyists as they are easy to care for and reef safe. Actinodiscus Mushroom Corals can have wart like tentacles or can be completely absent as well. Corals will benefit from the addition of Calcium, Strontium, Iodine, Magnesium and Trace Elements.
Actinodiscus Mushrooms may also be known as Mushroom Anemones or Disc Anemones. Commonly seen in the aquarium trade. The Actinodiscus Mushrooms are quite beautiful with a wide range of colors, texture and patterns. Actinodiscus Mushrooms will vary greatly in size and formation.
