Bluespotted Angelfish

Chaetodontoplus Angelfish should be added to well established aquariums with plenty of room to swim. Plenty of rock work, caves, cracks and crevices should be provided for grazing and hiding. Chaetodontoplus Angelfish may pick at mobile and sessile invertebrates. A diet of marine meaty, angel and algae based foods should be provided multiple times daily. Care will need to be taken when handling Angelfish as they have cheeks pines, avoid using nets when handling. Chaetodontoplus Angelfish are hermaphroditic meaning they may have both sex organs at some point in their lives. May be territorial towards other Angelfish with the same shape. Males and females may exhibit slightly color differences. Most juveniles and adults of the Chaetodontoplus Angelfish may exhibit marked color or pattern differences.
The Bluespotted Angelfish is also known as the Blue Spangled or Blue Dust Angelfish. This quite common and dazzling Angelfish has a light tan face, the color enhancing to a beautiful blue black as it meets its yellow tail. Bluespotted Angelfish can grow to 6".
We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 180 gallons or larger for this species.
