Candy Basslet

Liopropoma Basslets should be added to well established aquariums with plenty of rockwork, deep caves and coral overhangs. Provide a diet of meaty enriched foods along with algae matter. Keep well fed with multiple feedings per day but do not overfeed. considered to be peaceful but can be aggressive towards inhabitants of its own kind. Avoid adding larger inhabitants to the aquarium as they may harass this shy fish. Lioproproma are considered to be gonochorists meaning they do not change sex. Liopropoma Basslets may jump provide an aquarium with a tight fitting lid.

The Candy Basslet is also known as the Candy Bass. Occasionally seen in the aquarium trade this uniquelly colored fish has lavendar horizontal stripes that are outlined with red lines and an overall red to orange colored body. Candy Basslet can grow to 3".

We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 30 gallons or larger for this species.
