Fourline Combtooth Blenny

Ecsenius Blennies are sometimes referred to as Clown Blennies. Blennies should be added to well established aquariums. Rock work should be provided for perching, hiding and grazing. Ecsenius Blennies are considered to be easy and peaceful however, can become aggressive to other fish resembling their shape. If sufficient algae is not present supplement with algae based foods and algae matter. Males tend to be larger than females. Most Blennies lack or have very small swim bladders. Be sure to provide an aquarium with a tight fitting lid as Blennies may jump.

The Fourline Combtooth Blenny is also known simply as the Fourline Blenny. Not often seen in the aquarium trade Fourline Blennies are a good addition for smaller aquariums. They are somewhat translucent or grayish color for four black stripes. Fourline Blennies also have a golden iris with white and black spots around the eyes. Fourline Combtooth Blenny can grow to 2".

We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 30 gallons or larger for this species.
