Bridled Cardinalfish

Apogon Cardinalfish should be added to well established aquariums with plenty of room to swim. Plenty of rock work with caves and ledges should be provided for grazing and hiding. Most Apogon Cardinalfish are peaceful schooling fish but carefully research each species before adding to your aquarium. A diverse diet of enriched meaty foods should be provided for continued good health. Most Apogon Cardinalfish are active at night and rest during the day. Some Cardinalfish are mouth brooders research each species to ensure the appropriate care is given. They are slow methodical swimmers house with other peaceful tank mates.

The Bridled Cardinalfish is also known as the Spurcheek Cardinalfish. Very rarely ever seen in the aquarium trade. Bridled Cardinalfish are a metallic silver color with a thin black stripe that runs from its snout almost the total length of its body, and a black spot on its caudal peduncle. Bridled Cardinalfish can grow to 4".

We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 30 gallons or larger for this species.
