Girdled Cardinalfish

Archamia Cardinalfish should be added to well established aquariums with plenty of room to swim. Plenty of rock work with caves and ledges should be provided for grazing and hiding. Most Archamia Cardinalfish are peaceful schooling fish but carefully research each species before adding to your aquarium. A diverse diet of enriched meaty and algae based foods should be provided for continued good health. Most Archamia Cardinalfish are active at night and rest during the day. Some Cardinalfish are mouth brooders research each species to ensure the appropriate care is given. They are slow methodical swimmers house with other peaceful tank mates.
The Girdled Cardinalfish is also known as the Blackbelted Cardinalfish. Rarely seen in the aquarium trade. Girdled Cardinalfish are a pale gray with a thick vertical black stripe directly below the second dorsal fin, a black spot on the caudal peduncle and two beautiful orange stripes behind their eyes. Girdled Cardinalfish can grow to almost 3".
We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 30 gallons or larger for this species.
