Bigeye Cardinalfish

Nectamia Cardinalfish should be added to well established aquariums with plenty of room to swim. Plenty of rock work with caves and ledges should be provided for grazing and hiding. Most Nectamia Cardinalfish are peaceful schooling fish but carefully research each species before adding to your aquarium. A diverse diet of enriched meaty foods should be provided for continued good health. Most Nectamia Cardinalfish are active at night and rest during the day. Some Cardinalfish are mouth brooders research each species to ensure the appropriate care is given. They are slow methodical swimmers house with other peaceful tank mates.
The Bigeye Cardinalfish is also known as the Banda or Ghost Cardinalfish. Not often seen in the aquarium trade. Bigeye Cardinalfish are silver to copper colored with a thick stripe across the caudal peduncle along with a dark spot below its eye. Bigeye Cardinalfish can grow to almost 4" bu more commonly seen about 3".
We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 30 gallons or larger for this species.
