Ochre Striped Cardinalfish

Ostorhinchus Cardinalfish should be added to well established aquariums with plenty of room to swim. Plenty of rock work with caves and ledges should be provided for grazing and hiding. Most Ostorhinchus Cardinalfish are peaceful schooling fish but carefully research each species before adding to your aquarium. A diverse diet of enriched meaty foods should be provided for continued good health. Most Ostorhinchus Cardinalfish are active at night and rest during the day. Some Cardinalfish are mouth brooders research each species to ensure the appropriate care is given. They are slow methodical swimmers house with other peaceful tank mates.
The Ochre Striped Cardinalfish is also known as the Blue Eyed or Split Banded cardinalfish. Not often seen in the aquarium trade. Adults are a white to pink color with brown stripes along the sides, blue rings around the eyes, brown spots on the caudal peduncle, juveniles start with a yellow caudal peduncle with a black spot. Ochre Striped Cardinalfish can grow to almost 5" however are more commonly in little over 3".
We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 30 gallons or larger for this species.
