Orbiculate Cardinalfish

Sphaeramia Cardinalfish should be added to well established aquariums with rock work with caves and ledges should be provided for hiding. Sphaeramia Cardinalfish will consume small fish and invertebrates. A diverse diet of enriched meaty foods should be provided for continued good health. Sphaeramia Cardinalfish nocturnal and should be fed very early mornings or evenings. Some Cardinalfish are mouth brooders research each species to ensure the appropriate care is given. Sphaeramia Cardinalfish are slow methodical swimmers and should be housed with other peaceful tank mates. Sphaeramia Cardinalfish will thrive in small groups.
The Orbiculate Cardinalfish is also known as the Chubby or Polka Dot Cardinalfish. Commonly seen in the aquarium trade. Orbiculate Cardinalfish are quite interesting with their silver face and body, mottled black stripe that runs vertically and black spots on the back half of its body. Orbiculate Cardinalfish can grow to almost 4".
We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 30 gallons or larger for this species.
