Bigscale Parma Damselfish

Parma Damselfish should be added to well established aquariums with plenty of room to swim. Plenty of rock work should be provided for resting and establishing their territory. Parma Damselfish are very aggressive careful planning and consideration should be taken before adding fish to aquariums. They should be housed singly and only be housed with larger, intrusive and more aggressive tank mates. Parma are aggressive feeders a diet of meaty and algae based foods which includes Spirulina should be provided several times daily. As the fish matures they may begin loosing their vibrant coloration.
The Bigscale Parma Damselfish are also known as the Bigscale Scalyfin. Not often seen in the aquarium trade. The Bicolor Chromis juveniles and adults will appear differently. Juveniles have a quite incredible yellow coloration with electric blue lines and spots on the front upper part of its body. Adults will begin to loose their yellow color as they mature and become a dark color. They can grow to a little over 4".
We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 50 gallons or larger for this species.
