Corazon's Damselfish
(Pomacentrus vatosoa)
Pomacentrus Damselfish should be added to well established aquariums with plenty of room to swim. Plenty of rock work with caves and crevices should be provided for grazing and hiding. Pomacentrus Damselfish may pick at benthic invertebrates. A diet of meaty and algae based foods which include Spirulina should be provided several times daily. Groups of juveniles can be added to larger aquariums however, careful consideration will need to be given before adding to the aquarium as Pomacentrus Damselfish become more aggressive and territorial to fish of the same genus or size as they mature. Most Pomacentrus Damselfish are hard to differentiate between males and females however, males are generally larger. Some Damselfish may also change colors as they mature.
The Corazon's Damselfish are not often seen in the aquarium trade. The Corazon's Damselfish has a unique white to pearl colored body with a few black spots highlighting this beautiful little fish. There is a black saddle on the dorsal side of the caudal peduncle, a small black spot at the base of the pectoral fin and a third about midbody. They can grow to almost 2".
We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 30 gallons or larger for this species.
