Green Wolf Eel Blenny
(Congrogadus subducens)
Green Wolf Eels are hardy, easy to feed, and actually are a blenny. Plenty of rock work with cracks, caves and crevices should be provided for hiding. They have been known to eat crustaceans, polychaete worms and plankton. A diet of meaty based foods should be provided daily. Although they are known to be territorial and aggressive towards other fish they are also quite shy. Green Wolf Eels should be housed with larger fish that are not easily harrassed.
The Green Wolf Eel are also known simply as Carpet Eel Blenny. Occasionally seen in the aquarium trade. This unique eel like Blenny is light green to brown color with small white spots. Depending on its surroundings or the time of day this Blenny can appear much lighter in color. They can grow to about 18".
