Queensland Dottyback
(Ogilbyina queenslandiae)
The Queensland Dottyback is also known as the Queensland Reef Perch. Rarely seen in the aquarium trade. Queensland Dottyback male and females may have color differences. Females generally have a gray head with a bit of yellow or orange color above their anal fin and five to six chocolate colored stripes on its upper back, fins may be tinted red. The front part of the males body tends to be a light red color while the back portion may be a purple to grey color, with light blue fins with a small portion of the dorsal fin being red. They can grow to almost 6".
We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 50 gallons or larger for this species.
