Moringa Eels known commonly as Spaghetti Eels. They require aquariums with deep sand beds and rockwork with caves and crevices. Spaghetti eels are shy and will bury themselves in the sand or hide in caves or crevices. Do not attempt to hand feed or stick your hand in the aquarium near Eels as they may bite. When feeding use a long handled tool with meaty foods attached waving in front of them as most Eels have poor eye site. A diet of meaty based foods should be provided multiple times daily. Provide an aquarium with a tight fitting lid, Eels have been known to escape. The Moringa Eels have also been found in brackish and freshwater areas. Eels have poor eyesight and use their sense of smell to capture food.
