Pouter Blushing False Eye Goby

Acanthocepola should be added to well established aquariums. A deep sand bed should be provided as they will build vertical burrows, hovering above them waiting for prey. Acanthocepola are carnivorous and feed on small invertebrates. They are a peaceful fish and should be housed with other peaceful tank mates. Juveniles and adults have marked color differences. Provide an aquarium with a tight fitting lid as they may jump.
Pouter Blushing False Eye Goby are rarely seen in the aquarium trade. Pouter Blushing False Eye Goby are an overall red to pink color with a false eye spot on its dorsal fin. Pouter Blushing False Eye Goby can grow to almost 14".
We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 100 gallons or larger for this species.
