Orange Eel Pout Goby
(Dipulus caecus)
Dipulus Gobies are similar to Cusk Eels having a similar body shape as Eels. Some species can grow quite large, research each species to ensure your aquarium is adequate. They should be added to large aquariums that are well established with plenty of room to swim. Juveniles inhabit shallow coral reefs while the adults are benthopelagic, mostly inhabiting the sandy, muddy ocean floor. They have also been found in freshwater and brackish waters. They are carnivorous primarily feeding on bony fish, crustaceans including crabs and shrimp. A diet of meaty based foods should be provided. Provide an aquarium with a tight fitting lid as they may jump.
Orange Eel Pout Fish are also sometimes known simply as the Blindfish. Not often found in the aquarium trade. Orange Eel Pout Fish are an all over lovely orange to pink color. Orange Eel Pout Fish can grow to almost 8".
