Red Spotted Clown Goby

Gobiodon Goby are often referred to as Coral or Clown Gobies. Gobies should be added to well established aquariums with plenty of rockwork, caves, cracks and crevices for hiding. Clown Gobies are naturally found near areas with abundant branching stony corals. Clown Gobies may nip at corals as they feed on coral mucus and tissue along with benthic invertebrates and copepods. Clown Gobies should be housed with peaceful tank mates as they can be out competed for food. However, they can become territorial with other members of their own genus. Provide a diet rich in meaty based foods multiple times daily. Clown Gobies may jump provide an aquarium with a tight fitting lid.
Red Spotted Clown Goby are also sometimes known as Blue Spotted Coral Goby. Not often seen in the aquarium trade. Red Spotted Clown are mainly a blue to gray color with red spots on its body, red lines on its face and yellow fins. Red Spotted Clown Goby can grow to almost 2".
We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 10 gallons or larger for this species.
