Decorated Goby

Istigobius Gobies should be added to well established aquariums with plenty of stable rockwork. Provide caves, cracks and crevices, wide open swim areas and sandy areas to create burrows. Gobies are good jumpers ensure a tight fitting lid. Gobies are peaceful and hardy fish that make a beautiful addition to aquariums. House Gobies with other peaceful tank mates. Feed a diet rich in meaty prepared foods fed twice daily. Live enriched adult Brine, Glass/Grass or Black Worms may need to be fed if fish are not accepting prepared foods during acclimation. Istigobius may nip at corals. House only one per aquarium as they can become aggressive towards other Gobies.

Decorated Goby are also sometimes known as Decorated Sand Goby. Occasionally seen in the aquarium trade. Decorated Goby have a mottled brown body color, white spots and horizontal black broken stripes. Decorated Goby can grow to slightlyly over 5".

We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 30 gallons or larger for this species.
