Valenciennea Gobies are often known as Sleeper Gobies and should be added to well established aquariums with plenty of room to swim. Plenty of rock work, cracks, crevices, caves with a sand bed should be provided for hiding. Valencienna are small, easy to maintain and fit well in most reef aquariums. They are a good sand sifter and will pick up mouths of sand looking for small invertebrates and organic matter. A diet of meaty and algae based foods should be provided multiple times daily. Feed adult, fortified Brine, Glass/Grass shrimp and black worms if having difficulty enticing a feeding response. Valenciennea Gobies tend to be shy and peaceful house with other peaceful tank mates. In the wild Valenciennea Gobies mate for life if possible house as a mated pair. Provide a tight fitting aquarium as Gobies may jump.
Diamond Watchman Goby are also sometimes known simply as the Orangespotted Sleeper or Maiden Goby. Commonly seen in the aquarium trade. Diamond Watchman Gobies are an overall gray color with orange dashes markings and orange spots on its back and blue to white spots on their head. Diamond Watchman Gobies can grow to a little over 8".
We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 30 gallons or larger for this species.
