Yellowfin Goby
(Yongeichthys criniger)
Yongeichthys Gobies should be added to well established aquariums. Plenty of stable rock work, cracks, crevices, caves should be provided for hiding. Yongeichthys Gobies are small and fit well in most reef aquariums. A diet of meaty and algae based foods should be provided twice daily. Yongeichthys Gobies are very timid and should be housed with other peaceful tank mates. They prefer to live singly or in pairs as they may become aggressive to other Goby species. Provide a tight fitting aquarium as Gobies may jump.
Yellowfin Goby are also sometimes known as the Hair Finned Goby. Not often seen in the aquarium trade. Yellowfin Gobies are an overall brown to tan mottled color. Yellowfin Gobies can grow to almost 6".
We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 50 gallons or larger for this species.
