Red Diana Hogfish, Juvenile
(Bodianus diana)
Add Bodianus Hogfish to aquariums with plenty of stable rock work for hiding, a deep sand bed and lots of swim room. If frightened they may burrow in the sand for protection. Red Diana Hogfish are also sometimes known as Diana's Hogfish in the aquarium trade. Occasionally seen in the aquarium trade. Adult and juvenile Red Diana Hogfish will have different coloration. Adults are a red to orange color with white spots on its dorsal fin while juveniles are a dark color and a combination of small and larger spots. Red Diana Hogfish can grow to almost 7".
