Blue Spotted Stingray

Taeniura Stingrays should be added to very large aquariums with wide open swim areas and a good filter system. Stingrays also require a fine sand bed as they may partially bury themselves in the sand, concealing themselves from predators. Stingrays may be sensitive to copper, do not treat aquarium with copper products. Provide Stingrays with a diet rich in meaty based foods. They are social among their own species. Ensure a tight fitting lid as Stingrays may jump.
Blue Spotted Stingray are also sometimes known as the Ribbontailed Stingray. Not often seen in the aquarium trade. Blue Spotted Stingray are a yellow to gray color with bright blue spots. Blue Spotted Stingray can grow to slightly more than 12".
We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 250 gallons or larger for this species.
