Eastern Fiddler Stingray

Trygonorhina Stingrays should be added to very large aquariums with wide open swim areas and a good filter system. Stingrays also require a fine sand bed as they may partially bury themselves in the sand, concealing themselves from predators. Stingrays may be sensitive to copper, do not treat aquarium with copper products. Provide Stingrays with a diet rich in meaty based foods. They are social among their own species. Ensure a tight fitting lid as Stingrays may jump.
Eastern Fiddler Stingray are also sometimes known as the Banjo Shark, Fiddler Ray, Green Skate, or Southern Fiddler. Not often seen in the aquarium trade. Eastern Fiddler Stingray are a beautiful tan color with thin black stripes. Eastern Fiddler Stingray can grow to slightly more than 49".
We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 1000 gallons or larger for this species.
