Yellow Stingray

Urobatis Stingrays should be added to very large aquariums with wide open swim areas and a good filter system. Stingrays also require a fine sand bed as they may partially bury themselves in the sand, concealing themselves from predators. Stingrays may be sensitive to copper, do not treat aquarium with copper products. Provide Stingrays with a diet rich in meaty based foods. They are social among their own species. Ensure a tight fitting lid as Stingrays may jump.
Yellow Stingray are also sometimes known simply as the Yellow Ray. Not often seen in the aquarium trade. Yellow Stingrays have an overall yellow to brown mottled coloration. Yellow Stingray can grow to slightly more than 14".
We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 100 gallons or larger for this species.
