Emperor Red Snapper

Emperor Red Snappers are also sometimes known as the King, Emperor, Sebae or African Red Snapper. They are occasionally seen in the aquarium trade, but it is not as common as some other species of Snappers. They are one of the largest and most colorful species of snappers, with vibrant pink and red hues. They are also known for their intelligence and curious behavior. Emperor Red Snappers have a distinctive appearance, with a reddish-pink body and a blue-black head and fins. They have large scales and a deeply forked tail. They can grow up to 35 inches in length.
We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 250 gallons or larger for this species.
