Clepticus Wrasse should be added to well established aquariums with ample swim room. Provide an aquarium with ample rock work, cracks, crevices and caves for hiding and resting. Clepticus Wrasse should be kept with other peaceful tank mates but may become aggressive towards Fairy Wrasses. Clepticus Wrasse are considered to be reef safe however they may pick at crustaceans. Adults should be fed twice a day large amounts of meaty foods with juveniles being fed a few more times daily. Wrasse are hermaphrodites meaning they start as juveniles/females but at some point in their life may turn into a male. Wrasse are known to be jumpers a tight fitting lid is necessary.
The Creole Wrasse are sometimes known as Barracuda Waitin Boy. Occasionally seen in the aquarium trade. Color will vary depending on maturity, collection area and breeding period. Generally have a blue body with black on their foreheads and yellow on their lower back portion of their body. Creole Wrasse can grow up to almost 3".
We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 30 gallons or larger for this species.
