Four Line Wrasse
(Pseudocheilinus tetrataenia)
Pseudocheilinops Wrasse are small, shy and secretive fish generally found among heavy coral growth. Pseudocheilinops Wrasse should be added to a large well established aquarium with plenty of swimroom as they are open water swimmers. . Provide plenty of rockwork with cracks, caves and crevices for hiding. Pseudocheilinops can be kept with other peaceful tank mates but only 1 male per aquarium. Wrasse are hermaphrodites meaning they start as juveniles/females but at some point in their life may turn into a male. Provide an aquarium with a tight fitting lid as they may jump.
The Four Line Wrasse are also sometimes known as the Twelveline Wrasse. Commonly seen in the aquarium trade. Males are an overall red color with four horizontal dark blue stripes. Females will have subdued coloring and may be smaller than males. Four Line Wrasse can grow to a little over 3".
