Pizza Anemone

Crytodendrum Anemones are primarily found in the coastal waters of New Zealand. It is known to inhabit rocky and intertidal areas, as well as subtidal zones, where it can attach itself to various substrates. Like other sea anemones they are carnivorous predators. It uses its stinging tentacles to capture small prey, such as zooplankton, tiny crustaceans, and other small organisms that come into contact with its tentacles. Crytodendrum Anemones are generally considered reef-safe in the sense that it does not typically harm corals or other reef inhabitants.
Cryptodendrum adhaesivum Anemones may also be known as Pizza Anemones. Pizza Anemones are sometimes collected for the aquarium trade. Pizza Anemones have a flat, circular body with numerous long, slender, and colorful tentacles arranged around the edge. The tentacles can come in various colors, including green, pink, red, orange, and purple. These Anemones can grow up to 12".
