Watermelon Bulb Anemone

Entacmaea Anemone should be added to well established aquariums with plenty of lighting a sandy or muddy bottom in which to bury its foot. Anemones are capable of movement using their foot to the best suitable place in the aquarium. Anemones have a ring of tentacles that surrounds an oral disc in the center of its body known as its mouth. Provide a diet rich in small pieces of meaty foods it will also require high lighting to feed the symbiotic zooxanthellae algae within its body known as photosynthesis. Invertebrates do not tolerate copper medications. Entacmaea Anemone are capable of reproducing sexually or asexually by splitting or fragmentation.
The Watermelon Bulb Anemone is also known as the Bubble Tip Anemone. Watermelon Bulb Anemones may host some Clownfish such as A ephippium, A. frenatus, A. melanopus, A. chrysopterus and Premnas biaculeatus. Commonly seen in the aquarium trade. Watermelon Bulb Anemones are quite sought after for their attractive green tentacles and pink or purple tips. Watermelon Bulb Anemone can grow to almost 12".
