Tube Anemone
(Isarachnanthus sp.)
Isarachnanthus Anemones are typically found in sandy or muddy substrates, where they burrow themselves partially in the sediment, leaving their oral disc and tentacles exposed. Isarachnanthus Anemones are carnivorous and primarily feed on small prey such as zooplankton, small crustaceans, and other tiny organisms that come into contact with their tentacles. These anemones can retract into their tubes for protection, and they extend their tentacles to capture passing prey. They may also use their tentacles to catch suspended particles from the water.
Isarachnanthus Anemone's are also sometimes known as Tube Anemone's. They are sometimes seen in the aquarium trade. Tube Anemone's are typically red or reddish-brown in color they can vary slightly depending on environmental factors. They can grow up to 2".
