Blue/Yellow Long Tentacle Anemone

Macrodactyla Anemone should be added to well established aquariums with plenty of lighting a sandy or muddy bottom in which to bury its foot. Anemones are capable of movement using their foot to the best suitable place in the aquarium. Anemones have a ring of tentacles that surrounds an oral disc in the center of its body known as its mouth. Provide a diet rich in small pieces of meaty foods it will also require high lighting to feed the symbiotic zooxanthellae algae within its body known as photosynthesis. Invertebrates do not tolerate copper medications. Macrodactyla Anemone are capable of reproducing sexually or asexually by splitting or fragmentation.
The Blue/Yellow Long Tentacle Anemone is also known as the Corkscrew Anemone. Long Tentacle Anemones may host some Clownfish such as A chrysopterus, A. clarkia and A. perioderaion. Commonly seen in the aquarium trade. Long Tentacle Anemones are a blue to yellow color with orange to red colored feet. Long Tentacle Anemone can grow to almost 20".
