Dwarf Zebra Hermit Crab

Calcinus Crabs should be added to established aquariums with plenty of rockwork with, cracks, caves and crevices for grazing. Generally can be found in most reef areas. Hermit crabs are good scavengers if insufficient algae exists supplement with algae wafers. Invertebrates do not tolerate copper medications. Calcinus Crabs are great for beginner hobbyists as they are easy to care for and peaceful tank mates. Be sure to provide a variety of different sized shells as crabs grow they will seek a new larger home.
The Dwarf Zebra Hermit Crab is also known as the Blue Eyed or Left Handed Hermit Crab. Dwarf Zebra Hermit Crab are valuable additions to the aquarium as they will pick at and consume algae which includes coralline and cyanobacteria. Commonly seen in the aquarium trade. Dwarf Zebra Hermit Crabs are mainly black and have white and orange leg bands and colored pinchers. Dwarf Zebra Hermit Crabs can grow to 1".
