Hermit Crabs should be added to established aquariums with plenty of rockwork with, cracks, caves and crevices for grazing. Generally can be found in most reef areas. Hermit crabs are good scavengers if insufficient algae exists supplement with algae wafers. Invertebrates do not tolerate copper medications. Hermit Crabs are great for beginner hobbyists as they are easy to care for and peaceful tank mates. Be sure to provide a variety of different sized shells as crabs grow they will seek a new larger home.
