California Sea Hare

Aplysia Sea Hare should be added to well established aquariums with plenty of rockwork for grazing. Aplysia Sea Hare require a constant supply of algae's. If insufficient algae's are available, be sure to provide dried algae such as Nori or vegetable based pellets. Invertebrates do not tolerate copper medications or poor water conditions. Aplysia Sea Hare are quite peaceful and considered to be reef safe but should only be maintained by experts.
The California Sea Hare is also known as the Spotted Sea Hare. California Sea Hare may release a toxic ink if it becomes startled. Be sure to run carbon to filter any toxins. Uncommonly seen in the aquarium trade. California Sea Hare are a mottled tan and black color. California Sea Hare can grow to almost 30".
