Sally Lightfoot Crab
(Percnon gibbesi)
Percnon Crabs should be added to well established aquariums with plenty of rockwork, cracks, caves and crevices for grazing and hiding. Generally found hiding among the reefs in caves with rubble that is covered in algae. Juvenile Percnon Crabs are energetic algae eaters and will help to clean up nuisance algae in no time. As they mature they may begin to get a taste for small fish, crustaceans or other small invertebrates. If sufficient algae is not available supplement with dry seaweed, chopped meaty foods or a quality pellet food. Invertebrates do not tolerate copper medications. Percnon Crabs are great for beginner hobbyists as they are easy to care for.
