Olive Snail

Oliva Snails should be added to well established aquariums with a deep sand bed for burying themselves in search of food. Oliva Snails are usually found in shallow muddy areas. If sufficient food is not available supplement with frozen meaty foods such as brine, mysis or small pieces of fish or scallops. Invertebrates do not tolerate copper medications. Oliva Snails are great for beginner hobbyists as they are easy to care for, peaceful and reef safe.
The Olive Snail is also known as the Olive Shell. Olive Snail are very valuable additions to and aquarium as they are very good scavengers and will aerate the sand bed in search of food. Not commonly seen in the aquarium trade. They have a beautiful oval shaped shell, glossy shells with various colors and patterns. Olive Snails can grow to 2.5".
