Trochus Snails should be added to well established aquariums with plenty of rockwork for grazing as they are efficient consumers of nuisance algae's. If insufficient algae be sure to provide dried algae or vegetable based pellets. Invertebrates do not tolerate copper medications and are sensitive to salinity changes. Trochus Snails are a favorite of hobbyists and are great for beginner hobbyists as they are easy to care for, peaceful and reef safe.
The Banded Trochus Snail is also known simply as the Trochus Snail. Commonly seen in the aquarium trade. They can and will easily reproduce in the home aquarium. Banded Trochus Snails have a cone shaped shell that are covered with alternating white and maroon colored stripes. Banded Trochus Snails can grow to 1".
