Lysmata Shrimp should be added to well established aquariums with plenty of rockwork with ledges, cracks, caves and crevices for perching, grazing and hiding. Generally found perching on ledges. Provide a diet rich in small pieces of meaty foods. Invertebrates do not tolerate copper medications. Magnesium and Iodine are important components for shrimp as they need these for molting. Lysmata Shrimp are great for beginner hobbyists as they are easy to care for, peaceful and reef safe.

The Scarlet Striped Cleaner Shrimp is also known as the White Striped Shrimp or Skunk Shrimp. Scarlet Striped Cleaner Shrimp are very valuable additions to and aquarium as they may set up a cleaning station to remove parasites and other unwanted materials. Lysmata Shrimp are hermaphroditic spawners, they have both male and female sex organs and can all produce and fertilize eggs. Commonly seen in the aquarium trade. Scarlet Striped Cleaner Shrimp have yellow bodies with two red stripes separated with a white stripe and white antennae's. Scarlet Skunk Cleaner Shrimp can grow to 3".
