Kuekenthal's Peppermint Shrimp

Lysmata Shrimp should be added to well established aquariums with plenty of rockwork with ledges, cracks, caves and crevices for perching, grazing and hiding. Generally found perching on ledges. Provide a diet rich in small pieces of meaty foods. Invertebrates do not tolerate copper medications. Magnesium and Iodine are important components for shrimp as they need these for molting. Lysmata Shrimp are great for beginner hobbyists as they are easy to care for, peaceful and reef safe.

The Kuekenthal's Peppermint Shrimp is also known as the Striped Shrimp. Kuekenthal's Peppermint Shrimp are known to eliminate nuisance aiptasia anemone's and has even been seen cleaning parasites off of fish. Not often seen in the aquarium trade. Kuekenthal's Peppermint Shrimp are generally found in large groups so multiples can be kept in the same aquarium. The Kuekenthal's Peppermint Shrimp are opaque or clear with irregularly shaped bright red stripes. Kuekenthal's Peppermint Shrimp can grow to 2".
